9 Days Left: Copy These 3 Prompts. Raise More for Colorado Gives Day

With so much uncertainty, I wanted to find a way to add value to you, non-profit leaders. I figured I'd create these Weekly Emails I call Monday Motivational Minute because Mondays are historically the roughest days, and a minute . . . well because you're very busy people. In these, I'll add creative, quick, actionable takeaways for you to try (All in a minute read). No pressure, no need to respond, read at your leisure or unsubscribe if it doesn't add value.(Challenge Accepted ☺️)

COLORADO GIVES is coming faster than you'd hope, And I genuinely want to help you crush it this year.
Last Monday I launched "16 Days of Prompts ‘Till Colorado Gives" on LinkedIn, posting one high-value AI prompt daily until December 9th. But sadly, some of you aren't connected with me on LinkedIn or are too swamped to check it out (I totally get it!).
If you want the full series, connect with me here:

But for those drowning in end-of-year chaos, here are my TOP 3 GAME-CHANGING PROMPTS to save you hours while raising more money for Colorado Gives.

• Non-Colorado readers don't leave, this works for you too):

(Note: My LinkedIn posts have more detailed versions of the prompts; I'm consolidating here to keep this under a minute 😅)
--------
PROMPT #1: Write Persuasive Emails From Your Donor's Perspective
Copy/paste to AI:
You are [DONOR NAME], a past donor to [YOUR ORG NAME], a Colorado nonprofit focused on [YOUR MISSION, 1 sentence].
Last year you donated $[AMOUNT] on Colorado Gives Day.
Personal notes: [1 to 2 short notes about this donor].
Context: Write the email the Executive Director should send you ahead of Colorado Gives Day to encourage an early gift. The email must:
- be an email you would want to receive that would make you more highly likely to donate
- Emotionally compels you to give without sounding salesy
- Use warm, appreciative language that makes the donor feel valued and inspired to give again.
- Aim to make the donor highly likely to donate early.
-Keep each message under 250 words
-------
PROMPT #2: Generate 12 Social Media Posts (While You Do 100 Other Things)
Copy/paste to AI:
[YOUR ORG NAME], a Colorado nonprofit that [YOUR MISSION, 1-2 sentences].
Context: Colorado Gives Day is Dec 9. We need consistent social content between now and Dec 9 that emotionally resonates with donors.
Using this impact information: [Paste 2-3 sentences about who we serve, what we do, and one specific result/story]
Create 12 social media posts that:
Vary in tone: educational, emotional, urgent, celebratory, behind-the-scenes
Each includes a clear call-to-action to give early
Reference the $1M+ incentive fund that boosts every gift
Range from 50-150 words
Use storytelling, not stats dumps
Feel authentic, not corporate
Include suggested posting schedule (spread Nov 24-Dec 9)
Format: Post number, suggested platform, suggested date, post text, suggested image/visual idea.
-----------
PROMPT #3: AI as Your Motivational Coach (When Pressure Rises)
Copy/paste to AI:
You are an executive coach specializing in nonprofit leadership and fundraising psychology. I'm an Executive Director running a Colorado Gives Day campaign and I'm struggling mentally.
My situation:
- Current total raised: $[AMOUNT]
- Goal: $[GOAL]
- Days remaining: [NUMBER]
- What's happening mentally: [Be honest - "I'm panicking" or "I feel like I've failed" or "I'm exhausted and want to give up"]
Act as my coach. Don't give me generic encouragement. Instead:
1. Ask me 3-5 strategic questions to understand what's REALLY blocking me (fear? exhaustion? limiting beliefs? lack of clarity on next steps?)
2. After I answer, give me:
- A reframe that shifts my perspective on the current numbers
- One specific belief I need to let go of right now
- One concrete action I can take in the next 2 hours that will move the needle
- A reminder of why this work matters (based on my specific mission)
3. End with a tough-love statement that an executive coach would actually say - not "you got this!" but something that challenges me to rise to the moment
Be the coach I'd pay $500/hour for.
------------
BONUS PROMPT #4: Differentiate Yourself From other Competing Nonprofits
Copy/paste to AI:
I need to stand out among 4,600+ nonprofits competing for attention on Colorado Gives Day.
My organization: [YOUR ORG NAME]
Our mission: [YOUR MISSION, 1 sentence]
Before writing anything, interview me to understand what makes us genuinely different:
1. What problem do we solve that others don't address or ignore?
2. Who specifically do we serve that's underserved by other organizations?
3. What's our unique approach, methodology, or philosophy?
And ask me any other questions you need to help me come up with that stand-out differentiator factor(s)
After I answer, create 3-5 messaging angles that:
- Differentiate us completely from generic nonprofit appeals
- Lead with what's ONLY true about us
- Make donors think "I've never heard it put that way before"
- Feel authentic, not manufactured differentiation
Then write 3-5 social posts using these angles for Colorado Gives Day.
