Getting Into The mind of Your Donors

With so much uncertainty I wanted to find a way to add value to you non-profit leaders, with no intent to sell you anything here. I figured I'd create these Weekly Emails I call Monday Motivational Minute because Mondays are historically the roughest days, and a minute . . . well because you're very busy people. In these, I'll add creative, quick, actionable takeaways for you to try (All in a minute read). No pressure, no need to respond, read at your leisure or unsubscribe if it doesn't add value.

Happy 4 Days until Friday!

Doesn’t it feel like you spend more time being a professional beggar than you do actually running the organization? Reaching out to previous donors, cold emailing new ones, thinking of ways to get them to donate. It's hard to get inside the minds of your donors.

Do you ever wish you could talk to them and ask them what they really want, offer them what they truly like, pitch to them how they want to be pitched; But you're not Cleo, the psychic. . . . Or can you be? (Aging myself here🤦🏾‍♂️)

What if I can fast forward through what you're already doing and allow you to "get into the mind" of your donor to find that mutual benefit from your organization to their charitable wallet.

Create an AI chatbot of your donor profile, where you can ask it questions like, How do I get you to donate? Does this email resonate with you? What are you looking for with your donations?

Crazy right? Ok, here's how it works.

Caution: This may not be for everyone and it will NOT actually be your donor, but it's a conceptual idea that should help save you time; please tweak it to your preference and comfort.

Actionable Task: Write in your AI chat bot:

"I want you to be a potential donor of my non-profit. I am an Executive Director of (Name of your Organization). We do (detailed breakdown of your service) and what I know about you is (Enter detailed breakdown of your donor profile; income range, reason previously donated; personality trait); press enter, then talk to it/him/her. Ask them whatever you really want to know, like what's the best way to ask them for money?

Remember: Your advantages aren't just assets. They can be part of your assignments. Use every edge, skill, and privilege not just to win, but to widen the circle of opportunity for all.
