Hate Those Anxiety Mondays? Let's End that Today!

With so much uncertainty, I wanted to find a way to add value to you, non-profit leaders, with no intent to sell you anything here. I figured I'd create these Weekly Emails I call Monday Motivational Minute because Mondays are historically the roughest days, and a minute . . . well because you're very busy people. In these, I'll add creative, quick, actionable takeaways for you to try (All in a minute read). No pressure, no need to respond, read at your leisure or unsubscribe if it doesn't add value.

Happy Monday?
Did you wake up this morning feeling exhausted before you even started work....thinking, gosh Monday mornings are freakin' brutal?
Did you get that immediate knot in your stomach because you know what's waiting for you in the office? The crisis emails that came in over the weekend, the board member who's going to question every decision, the funding deadline you're behind on, and the three families who needs help that you can't provide.
To the small circle of ED's that love going to work Mondays, this isn't for you.
But if you're like the 85% of nonprofit leaders that say Mondays are their most stressful day....this may help.
Here's the honest truth: The overwhelm isn't because you're not good enough (seriously, stop that self-torture right now!), it's because you're cramming organizational chaos into your already-exploding brain instead of getting it OUT.
Your mind wasn't designed to be everyone else's emergency filing cabinet.
Listen, I know you don't need another self-care speech; you need a thinking partner available 24/7 skilled in prioritization, for the cost of a fancy latte.
Actionable Task:
Create your "ED Daily Task Buster":
Step 1: Open ChatGPT, start a new chat
Step 2: Every morning, paste this template and fill it in:
-What's on my mind: [dump everything—tasks, worries, stressors]
-What's blocking me: [what feels overwhelming?] -What I NEED to accomplish today: [2-3 real priorities, not 10]
-Communications I need help writing: [staff updates, board emails, donor responses]
Then add: "Be my clarity coach. Help me organize my thoughts and prioritize my day to tackle today like the phenomenal nonprofit leader I am."
Step 3: Kick butt and take names.
Remember: You don't need to work less to feel better; you need to work with purpose. Control returns when you stop reacting to everything and start responding to what actually moves the needle."🙏🏾
