I'm not the AI genius you think...

With so much uncertainty, I wanted to find a way to add value to you, non-profit leaders, with no intent to sell you anything here. I figured I'd create these Weekly Emails I call Monday Motivational Minute because Mondays are historically the roughest days, and a minute . . . well because you're very busy people. In these, I'll add creative, quick, actionable takeaways for you to try (All in a minute read). No pressure, no need to respond, read at your leisure or unsubscribe if it doesn't add value.

Happy "I'm Blessed Day",
I'm gonna tell you a secret, but you have to promise not to tell anyone?...
You pinky swear?....
If you tell you'll get a stye, in your eye!😉
Ok, I trust you... Here's my confession: I'm not this AI genius people may think I am. I used this simple process called "Replicate then Innovative" where I search for how people use AI, then I copy it, then I tweak and share as needed....
I was thinking, what if I cut, myself out as the middle man, and tell you how other EDs are using AI and maybe it can inspire you to replicate and innovate.
You don't have time to do what I do and search through TikTok, then stop to learn the latest dance move(I have to stay cool for my kids,🤷🏾♂️😖), and then go back to researching. You're busy literally saving lives.
So I scrubbed Reddit for you, to search for interesting ways other EDs are using AI. Some of these may not easily be replicatable right now, but knowing it's capabilities for your industry, hopefully will get that imagination engine going.
Actionable Task: Just read and get inspire🤷🏾♂️
"I used AI to Scrapes public Reddit threads, Facebook groups, or local news comments related to our cause. Summarizes what my community is really talking about in plain English. And then I walk into strategic planning meetings with insights from the actual ground-level voices."
"With no tech skills and Curser, and AI tool, I built an AI surveys and workload tracker to detect early signals of staff overwhelmed (keywords, email tone, after-hours patterns). It sends me a gentle alert: “Two staff members showing rising stress indicators, time for a check-in.” For me, it builds a culture of care before turnover happens."
"I was bad at defending my budgets, so I now upload my budget draft, and ask AI to roleplays as a skeptical funder, board finance chair, or auditor; pushing back with hard questions. This has forced me to sharpen my financial narrative before real scrutiny. It's been a game changer for me"
Remember: Not everything is easily replicatable, but inspiration comes from just knowing that something is possible. The first person to break the four-minute mile didn't teach everyone how to run; they taught everyone how to believe."
I had 10 of these super interesting examples, and had to only use 3 for my 1 minute email goal. Respond "More" to this email and I'll send you the other 7, if you'd like.

P.S. Know another ED holding it all together with grit and grace? Forward this their way. We’re not meant to lead alone, and together, we go farther.
