OH MY GOSH I HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT SORA 2!!!

Okay, okay, deep breath, Regis. OpenAI just dropped THE COOLEST VIDEO CREATION TOOL EVER and I feel like a little school girl who just drank all 6-7 flavors of Red Bull (I know six sevennn), 3 black coffee cups, and just watched K-Pop Demon Hunters for the first time, while learning the latest TikTok dance with my BFF's.

Listen, CAN I PLEASE take a timeout from our regularly scheduled program to show you something absolutely MIND-BLOWING and is also a turning point in history; the point when we really stopped knowing the real from the fake!

A week or so ago, Chat GPT dropped Sora 2! Sora 1 was their AI video generator, but to say Sora 2 just does that is to say that EDs get just a little busy at work (a huge understatement). It's the best image creator that generates insanely real-quality videos of YOU (yes You) from simple text prompts!

It hit #1 in Apple's App Store within 24 hours, beating ChatGPT and Gemini. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!.. Aaaand it's a TikTok format, so you can scroll and see multiple videos. (Yup, it's competing with TikTok now)

Unfortunately, only iPhone users have access right now (Android coming soon, so I'm just waiting 😖), but this is perfect for creating authentic social media content, donor testimonial-style videos, or program explainer clips without expensive videographers!

It generates videos so realistic you literally can't tell they're AI-created. People are making celebrity lookalikes, fictional scenarios, and marketing content that looks professionally filmed, all from simple text prompts in seconds.

Disclosure: After just a day or two, Chat GPT just announced tighter copyright controls and revenue-sharing after a Wild West first week of Sora 2, where people flooded the platform with Mario, Pikachu, and Michael Jackson videos. They're implementing opt-in controls for rights-holders and working to keep it ethical.

And a huge warning, the process to scan your face and voice is so ridiculously fast and easy that people give up their likeness to the platform before they even know what happened.

Actionable Task: Check out the videos and prepare to have your mind absolutely BLOWN:

1. Step 1: Open TikTok or YouTube

2. Step 2: Search "Sora 2 videos" or "Sora 2 AI examples"

3. Step 3: Watch the results and try to remember your jaw needs to close eventually

Remember: Two feelings can exist at once: excitement for the coolness of it all, and pure fear of what will become of this technology. The future isn't binary, it's both miracle and monster, depending on whose hands are building it.
