Which AI Tool's Best For My NPO? (Answered)

Mondays are rough. It's scary times for Nonprofits. Your time is scarce. That’s why I created the Monday Motivational Minute. Each week, I’ll send you one high-impact, actionable idea to help you leverage AI and save time. The catch? It will always be a 1-minute read or less. If it adds value, great. If not, the unsubscribe button is right there, but I’m betting you’ll want to stay. (Challenge Accepted ☺️)

Happy Almost Weekend,

"HOW DO YOU KNOW which AI tool to use, when?" is my most asked question. Let me answer it here.

I totally get it. You scroll through LinkedIn, TikTok, and IG (that's what the youngin's call Instagram 😉) and see a ridiculous amount of advice about AI tools. Each post showcases a NEW product... Do they expect you to remember every feature when you lose your cell phone at least 300 times a week?

Ughhh, it's overwhelming, right?

So you do what everyone does, you save the post, fully convinced you’ll get to it ‘one day.’ But we both know the truth: it’s already vanished into the mythical land of forgotten saved AI posts.🫣

Let's simplify things for you right now.

Actionable Task: Read. Get Informed. Use What Applies to You.

TIP #1: Your Email Provider Determines Which AI Pro Plan You Get for FREE

Don't overthink it! Primarily use the AI that comes with your company email and master ALL its features first.

- Google Email = Gemini Pro(free)
- Outlook Email = Copilot (free)

Fun Fact: Microsoft is the biggest investor in ChatGPT so Copilot runs on the same system as ChatGPT; so Copilot can do almost everything ChatGPT does, PLUS more with Microsoft integrations.
---
The Quick Reference Guide (Which AI is Best for What)

ChatGPT – Best for multi-function tasks, latest features, general use
Copilot – Best alternative to ChatGPT if you have Outlook, integrates with Microsoft Suite. Great for Excel simplification.
Grok – Best for unfiltered responses, latest news from X (Twitter)
Gemini – Best overall ecosystem with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar), best free tier AI.
NotebookLM – Best for working with multiple files/folders, documentation gathering as references.
Claude – Best for writing that sounds genuinely human (Documentation, Reports, Social Media Posts)
Claude Code– Best for coding office projects for non coders.
Perplexity – Best research tool for factual information.
---
My Advice:  Pick ONE. Master it. THEN consider adding another.
---
Remember: The paradox of choice paralyzes more people than lack of options ever did. Know what's possible, choose what's practical, master what matters. Simplicity beats sophistication when you're actually trying to get things done 🙏🏾

P.S. Know another NPO leader holding it all together with grit and grace? If you find value in this, pay it forward. Forward this their way. We’re not meant to lead alone, and together, we go farther.
